SIM’s Founding Teacher, Dennis Warren, will lead a 45 minutes session of meditation instruction this Thursday, November 19. The session is appropriate for those new to meditation practice and those who want to review meditation fundamentals. The session will include instruction, a period of guided meditation and time for questions and answers.

What is hope? Why is the loss of hope frequently so disappointing, painful and disorienting? What is the difference between hope and faith? What role does hope play, if any, in practice? These questions are important to understanding practice and to being a satisfied and happy human being on this planet. Hope can be a valuable tool in practice and life, and it can also be a state of mind that sets us up for lots of suffering.
