DESCRIPTION:Family Sangha meetings are held 10 am – noon on the second Sunday of the month. \nFamily Sangha welcomes those who want to develop dharma practice in a family setting—parents\, grandparents\, uncles\, aunts\, and more. We offer indoor and outdoor activities for children\, expressing values of the Buddha way: compassion\, curiosity\, generosity\, kindness\, and mindfulness. Adults have time for meditation\, play\, and discussion. Please bring snacks\, clothes suitable for outdoor play\, and remain on the premises for the entire session if you bring children. Please let us know if you are interested in a tween and teen group. \nFamily Sangha is sponsored by the Sacramento Dharma Center; any dana you can offer for expenses is gratefully appreciated.

SUMMARY:Grand Opening of Sacramento Dharma Center
DESCRIPTION:It’s the “Grand Opening” of the Sacramento Dharma Center. This event will include neighbors\, supporters\, and others in addition to the sustaining sanghas (Sacramento Buddhist Meditation Group\, Sacramento Insight Meditation\, and Valley Streams Zen Sangha). SDC plans to show the neighbors the new building and grounds and give everyone a chance to learn a bit about the Sacramento Dharma Center (who the SDC is and what  the SDC does.) \nThis event will start off with a period of mingling\, followed by an exchange of gratitude\, welcoming\, and blessing by invited teachers and neighborhood leaders. We’ll conclude with more socializing and table hopping. Everyone is invited.
