SUMMARY:(Onsite) Tea with Senior Teacher Greg Scharf
DESCRIPTION:Come join us for an informal gathering at the Sacramento Dharma Center (in-person\, mostly outside) – Bring snacks that are easily shared and your own tea/coffee mug if you like (tea will be available)\, and your Dharma or personal practice questions for Greg. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nGREG SCHARF\, an Insight Meditation Society guiding teacher\, has practiced with Western and Asian teachers in the Theravada tradition since 1992. He has been teaching residential retreats since 2007\, including the annual Three-Month Retreat at IMS. Greg’s love of nature and the outdoors deeply informs both his practice and teaching.

SUMMARY:SIM & BIG DAY OF GIVING
DESCRIPTION:MARK YOUR CALENDARS – BIG DAY OF GIVINGFrom midnight to 11:59 p.m. on May 2! https://www.bigdayofgiving.org/ \n\n\n\nSIM is participating in the Big Day of Giving on May 2. If you plan on giving this day\, consider donating to SIM. We have a generous donor who has pledged to match all donations up to $1000. This giving campaign is a continuation of SIM’s efforts to make the Legacy Teacher Project sustainable and to carry SIM’s mission well into the future. We hope you will think of SIM on the Big Day of Giving! \n\n\n\nWhat is Big Day of Giving?Big Day of Giving is a once-annual 24-hour giving challenge to help local nonprofits raise funds to make a difference in the Sacramento region. It’s the culmination of an entire year’s worth of community-building and collaboration led by the Sacramento Region Community Foundation\, with support from community partners like Western Health Advantage\, and made possible by people like you! \n\n\n\nHow can I help?GIVE: You can donate to SIM by visiting www.bigdayofgiving.org on Thursday\, May 2\, and making a gift with a credit or debit card. \n\n\n\n\nDonations as little as $10 make a big difference.\n\n\n\nYour gifts can help us win some of the prizes that are up for grabs!\n\n\n\nHelp us reach our $1000 match from an anonymous donor; every donation will be doubled until the match has been completely met!\n\n\n\nYou can start giving from April 18 through May 2 during the Early Giving period.
